Diving with Mangkur Kodon Homestay
Stay Raja Ampat was told that a western-operated dive center was to open at Mangkur Kodon in October 2018, but we have had no further update on that as of February 2019. Diving can be arranged with neighbouring homestays if required.
Trips to see the Red Birds of Paradise display near Sawinggrai village on Gam are available. The visits cost IDR 200,000 per person plus boat hire. Other nature and village tours can be arranged depending on boat availability.
Low tide exposes extensive sandbanks that join Kri to the nearby islet of Ransiwor and across to Mansuar and Yenbuba village. These provide the opportunity for long walks and exploration of tidal pools. It’s also possible at low tide to walk the entire northern shore of Kri.
See our Kri Island page for an overview of the island and its attractions.
