Arborek Homestay is quite a large homestay located on the southern shore of Pulau Arborek.

Five two-room family bungalows are available. Two are over water, while another other two sit in the shade of beachside trees.

There is also a 2 room concrete bungalow which we refer to as a VIP bungalow because it has an ensuite bathroom.

We haven’t been updated about bedding in the rooms, but we know from a previously supplied photo that at least one bedroom has real beds. (See the photo in the gallery above.)

Meals at Arborek Homestay are served in a large and well appointed, sand-floored dining room. There are a several tables and plenty of seating available. There’s a refrigerator, and drinking water, tea and coffee making supplies are provided there for guests.

All guests share a two-room, tiled floor bathroom building. A western style toilet occupies one room, and bucket bathing is available in both.

Plenty of shady relaxation is provided at Arborek Homestay, with a number of beachside shelters, seating and hammocks set in the shade of the beachside trees.

Electricity is from village supply and is usually available at all times except from 0700 to about 1000. Telkomsel’s Arborek tower provides a strong 4G signal.

The homestay lies on the outskirts of Arborek village, where you can purchase basic supplies and cold drinks.

English is spoken at Arborek Homestay.

As everywhere in Raja Ampat, you need to take your inorganic rubbish away with you to ensure it doesn’t wind up in the sea.

    Snorkelling and diving

Arborek is a fantastic location for both snorkelling and diving, and provides the closest accommodation to the famed Manta Sandy, where you can snorkel and dive with Mantas. The waters beneath the Arborek jetty are full of fish and colourful soft corals bloom all over the jetty pilings. Be sure to bring your snorkelling gear!

Diving at all of Raja Ampat’s best sites is available in conjunction with the neighbouring Arborek Dive Shop.
