Wombon Swandiwe Homestay is located on Kri Island’s north shore.

3 two room beach bungalows are available, all of which have large verandahs with bench seating, tables and ocean views to Gam and Waigeo. Bungalow bedrooms have mattresses on the floor, complete with sheets, pillows, bolsters and mosquito nets and are also equipped with electric ceiling fans and have small lockable cupboards installed.

Meals are served in a spacious dining room on the beach which has two large tables and bench seating. Drinking water, tea and coffee making supplies are always freely available for guests there.

Wombon Swandiwe Homestay has two bathroom buildings that are shared by guests. Each building has two rooms, one with a western style toilet, ans one bathroom with bucket bathing. One of the bathrooms is also fitted with a shower.

Electricity is provided from sunset until around midnight, and the homestay receives a strong telephone signal from the nearby Yenbuba phone tower. A 4G data connection is usually available, but it doesn’t support anything like real 4G speeds and sometimes drops out briefly.

The nearest village is Yenbuba on Mansuar. Basic supplies can be purchased in Yenbuba and it’s about a ten minute boat ride from Wombon Swandiwe. It’s possible to walk there via the wide sandbanks exposed at low tide.

English is spoken at Wombon Swandiwe Homestay.

Safe rubbish disposal is a problem everywhere in Raja Ampat, so you’ll need to take all your inorganic trash away with you when you leave if you want to make sure there’s no chance of it polluting paradise.

    Transport / Getting there

Transport between Waisai and Wombon Swandiwe Homestay costs IDR 1,000,000 each way.

Transfers are by speedboat capable of carrying up to 14 people, and trip cost is shared by passengers.

    Diving and snorkeling

Be sure to bring snorkelling gear, as the rich Kri north shore reefs are right at the door. Diving can be organised at any of the nearby Kri dive centers.

    Wombon Swandiwe tours

Snorkelling and sightseeing tours to anywhere you want to go can be arranged on request. Wombon Swandiwe also offers accommodation and tour packages. See this (Bahasa Indonesia) price list. Contact Wombon Swandiwe for more information.

    Hiking & beach walks

Long beach walks are possible on Kri, especially at low tide. There’s also a trail that leads to a panoramic lookout above the island’s western end. (You’ll probably need a guide to find the trail, and sturdy footwear is recommended!) At low tide it’s possible to cross the extensive sand banks at Kri’s western end to the neighbouring island of Mansuar. There’s excellent snorkelling at Yenbuba village on Mansuar, and jungle paths provide the opportunity for longer treks.
