Details

Tara Fudin Homestay lies on Pam Island’s sheltered north-east coast.

Two private bungalows occupy shaded positions on the edge of the beach.

The bungalows sleep two on mattresses on the floor. Sheets, pillows, light blankets and mosquito nets are supplied, and all rooms are provided with electrical outlets and room light switches.

All bungalows have covered verandahs with sea views through the beachside trees. Chairs and table are provided on the verandahs.

Meals are served in Tara Fudin Homestay’s beachside dining room. Free drinking water and tea and coffee making supplies are always available for guests there.

Guests share a two-room bathroom building. A western style toilet is provided in one room, and dip mandi (tub and ladle) bathing in the other.

Tara Fudin Homestay usually receives about half bars of phone signal. A (slow) 4G data connection is usually available.

Electricity is provided by generator, and is available from around 6pm to midnight.

Only a little English is spoken at Tara Fudin Homestay, so bringing an offline translation app or phrasebook would be a good idea.

Saukbu village is a short walk away. There are small shops in Saukabu, but be sure to stock up with anything you consider essential, because local villages only have basic supplies available.

Safe rubbish disposal doesn’t exist in Raja Ampat: Please do take all your inorganic waste away with you when you leave. Anything left in the islands will only contribute to the trashing of paradise.

Transport / Getting there

Transfers between Waisai and Tara Fudin Homestay are by longboat which can carry up to 4 people.

(Obviously, if you are going to arrive on the cargo boat, then you don’t need to request a Waisai pickup when submitting the booking form above.)

Like all homestays, Tara Fudin can organise snorkelling and sightseeing trips to anywhere you want to go.

Saukabu village is a short walk away, and walking paths connect Saukabu to Pam’s two other villages, and to a jetty in a bay on the northern side of the island.
