Three private over-water bungalows are available.
The bungalows sleep two on inner-spring mattresses on the floor. An extra mattress can be provided if needed. Sheets, pillows, light blankets and mosquito nets are supplied, and all rooms are provided with electrical outlets and room light switches.
All bungalows have covered verandahs with panoramic ocean views. Chairs and table are provided on the verandahs.
Meals are served in Mares Homestay’s over-water dining room. Free drinking water and tea and coffee making supplies are always available for guests there.
Guests share a two-room bathroom building on land. One room has a western-style toilet, while the other houses a squat toilet. A bucket and ladle for flushing and bathing is provided in each room.
Electricity is provided by generator, and is available from sunset until around midnight.
Mares Homestay normally receives a strong phone signal. The 4G signal supports internet connections for those with the appropriate Telkomsel plan.
Basic supplies can be purchased in Pam Island villages, but, as everywhere in the islands, it’s best to bring any essential supplies with you.
Also as elsewhere in Raja Ampat, there is no safe waste disposal at Pam. Please do take your trash with you: Any inorganic waste you leave behind will only contribute to the trashing of paradise.
Very little English is spoken at Mares Homestay, so bringing a translation app or phrasebook is recommended.

Activities
Snorkelling and Hiking
Bring your snorkelling gear! There’s great snorkelling around Pam Island. Piaynemo, Melissa’s Garden and Andau’s mantas are all close by.
From the nearby village of Saupapir, a trail leads north to a jetty on the north side of the island, and east to Pam’s largest village of Saukabu. If visiting both, the full return hike from Mares Homestay is about 12 kilometres. Long beach walks are also possible at low tide.
