Details
Kotare Homestay lies at the eastern end of Warasnus Cove on Kri’s southern shore.
Two private beach bungalows are available. Both are over water at high tide. Verandahs equipped with a small table and chairs provide unobstructed ocean views to Batanta.
Bungalow bedrooms have window shutters and doors with locks. Guests sleep on mattresses on the floor, and mosquito nets, pillows and bedlinen are provided. Other bedroom fittings include a small table, light switches and power outlets, and a clothesline.
Meals are served in a wood-floored, dining room set in the shade behind the beach. Free drinking water and tea and coffee making supplies are provided there for guests.
Kotare Homestay guests share a 2-room, pebble-floored bathroom building. Each bathroom houses a western-style toilet, a shower and bucket bathing.
Electricity is provided by generator and is available from sunset to about midnight. Kotare Homestay usually receives a good 4G phone signal that supports a data connection.
English is not spoken at Kotare Homestay, so if you don’t speak Bahasa Indonesia, then a phrasebook or translation app will prove handy. If you have need for a translator, call the Homestay Information Center. or ask for help one of Kotare’s neighbouring homestays.
There are no villages on Kri, so you’ll need to bring any essential consumeables with you. Basic supplies can be purchased from kiosks at Yenbuba village on nearby Pulau Mansuar.
As at all Raja Ampat Homestays, Kotare Homestay has no safe way of disposing of inorganic trash (especially plastic). So, if you want to avoid the trashing of paradise, please do take yours away with you when you leave.
Also in common with all other homestays, Sundays are a day of church and family obligations at Kotare Homestay. Homestays will provide Waisai transfers for guests who must arrive/depart on Sundays, but no other organised boat trips or guided activities are available on Sundays.
Transport / Getting there
One way transfers between Kotare Homestay and Waisai cost IDR 700,000. A longboat capable of carrying up to 4 passengers is used, and the total cost is shared by passengers.

Snorkelling & diving
