Raja Ampat Sunset Homestay was removed from Stay Raja Ampat on May 13 2025 after its owner was caught filming a female guest in the bathroom.
If you have a booking at Raja Ampat Sunset Homestay, and want to cancel, then please just hit the cancellation link provided in your booking confirmation email. You will be refunded in full.

To all members of PERJAMPAT (Raja Ampat Stay Partners)
We, PERJAMPAT and PT BAHARI PERJAMPAT SEJAHTERA, as the managers of the website www.stayrajaampat.com, hereby declare our full commitment to preventing all forms of sexual violence.
We are deeply concerned about the incident involving Raja Ampat Sunset Homestay in the form of sexual violence against its guests. The homestay owner, Ulis Mambrasar, secretly took pictures of the victim while she was in the bathroom.
As a form of our responsibility and commitment, here are the steps we have taken and will take:
1. Termination of cooperation. We have terminated the membership of Raja Ampat Sunset Homestay as of May 12, 2025, as a firm response to the incident involving the homestay owner. We are also closing the homestay page on the Stay Raja Ampat website.
2. Full refund. We offer cancellation with a full refund to guests who have made payment. All cancellation fees will be charged to Raja Ampat Sunset Homestay.
3. Raising awareness, We will continue to raise awareness about sexual violence among homestay members and guests. We will ensure clear and easily accessible information about the standards of behavior expected from all parties.
4. Handling reports. We ensure that every report of sexual violence is followed up seriously, and conducts a thorough investigation. We will also provide assistance to victims if necessary.
We believe that a safe and comfortable environment is the right of every guest and member. We are committed to continuing to work hard to ensure that all parties, both guests and Stay Raja Ampat partners, feel safe and respected.
