This form is for bookings only - you can not use it to check availability. Here is why

Tau Yado House is located on the wide sand beach of Yendebabo in eastern Gam.  Four single room private bungalows are set amid the shade of beachside trees – each has a verandah with ocean views. The bedding supplied is mattresses on the floor, which are equipped with sheets, pillows and mosquito nets. Each room has a small table and bench seat, power outlets, room light switch and clothes line. Twowels are also provided.

Meals are taken in a beachside dining shelter that has a large table and bench seating.  The dining shelter faces east and provides panoramic views. It’s a great place to relax with a morning coffee and watch the sun rise from the sea. Drinking water, tea and coffee are always freely available to guests there.

A large swinging recliner hangs from a coconut tree over the beach and cargo net is also provided for lazing away the hours. Small table and bench settings are also available in the shade of beachside trees.

Toilet and bathroom facilities are housed in separate rooms in a pebble-floored bathroom shelter which is shared by all guests. Bathing is by bucket and ladle (dip mandi) and toilet facilities are squat style. A shelf and clothes line is provided in the bathroom.

Electricity for light and charging equipment is provided by generator from sunset to bedtime and Tau Yado House receives a strong 3G telephone signal which usually supports a data connection.

If you need basic supplies, the village of Yenbeser is about a ten minute boat ride away. In common with everywhere else in Raja Ampat, there’s no safe disposal of inorganic trash available at Tau Yado. Please take all your inorganic trash (plastic, dead batteries etc) away with you when you leave so as not to contribute to the growing rubbish problem in the islands.

Very little English is spoken at Tau Yado House, so bring a phrasebook to ease communication if you don’t speak Bahasa Indonesia.

Transport / Getting there

Transfers between Tau Yado House and Waisai cost IDR 500,000 each way and are by longboat which can carry up to six people max. The trip cost is shared among passengers.

Wildlife abounds at Tau Yado and includes Red Birds of Paradise, whose displays can be observed just a short walk away from the homestay. Sea eagles are regularly seen dolphins and dugongs sometimes enter the bay in front of the homestay.

If you have a special interest in birdwatching or mangrove habitats, be sure to enquire about a longboat tour through the winding Dore Dor lagoon that separates the island Tau Yado occupies from the Gam mainland.

    Hey Hey,
after two weeks in raja ampat we arrived gam. The homestay is clean and the bungalows are very comfortable. We had a lot of rain so it was moisty inside.
Petrus and his family welcomed us friendly, he tries to speak english as good as he can. I had a Translation Book for indonesian with me what made the stay even better.
On the first Dinner we got the first Time since 2 weeks a pork, wich Petrus himself hunted in the jungle.
You can see a lot of exotic Birds, like the Bird of Paradise (if you have luck), drive the traditionall Kanu and enyo the stay.

We had the most amazing diving vacation with Maria and Sandy from Corepen homestay. We did 21 dives with them. They know the dive sites, currents and take you to the best places. They have very good equipment and they did everything to make sure we had amazing dives.
Even when it was just the 2 of us wanting to dive they took us always on the boat, we did up to 4 dives a day.
We got to dive with mantas, Sandy knew where and when to find them. They asked what we liked more and took us to the most beautiful coral gardens. It was an amazing experience and we would recommend anyone to go dive with them. They are professional and passionate divers.

We stayed in the neighbour homestay Tau Yado and it was a great experience. It was clean, the food was extremely good, the beach is amazing. It has a really cool swing and the family is really nice. We had an amazing time and cant wait to go back!

Beautiful and large piece of beach is available at this cozy homestay. Currently shared by five huts which are set back a few meters from the beach in the shade. They are working on more. What is unusual are all the lounge areas, several sleeping chairs, a swing, a large net. So its a great place to hang out on the beach! They also decorate it nicely with many plants and shells. Lots of birds will wake you up in the morning. I saw black cacadoo, hornbill, parrots..

The family is very kind and they make a great effort to help with anything you need. Food was good and they even cook for breakfast already (yes rice and fish again but the usual “green cake” is also there if you like). Usually before dinner they go out with the wooden kanu to catch the fish so its as fresh as it gets. They also have a garden for vegetables and will provide you with young coconut sometimes (just ask).

If you like diving you can do so with the dive center nearby at Corepen. Its a 5 minutes walk and they are happy to pick you up at the beach.

They Kayak for Conservation groups come to this homestay regularly so most likely you won’t be lonely too long (if you dont want to). They also offered a tour through the mangroves at the back.

The only bad thing are the blue roofed bungalows of there direct neighbor. Somehow spoils the picture a bit (just look in the other direction).

We stayed at Tau Yado in february 2016. We were the very first guests at a new, clean and very well maintained homestay. Petrus is a talented joiner and carpenter http://www.panoramio.com/photo/128483766
Food was very good and more than enough.
Beach is sandy, swimming and snorkelling always possible. I recommand this place, it´s good value for money and the nice and very friendly family deserves more guests.

    • What I forgot: SMS-contact from Europe didn´t work but I successfully texted with them when already in Indonesia. And there´s a new telephone number
      Petrus` new number: +6281248357021
